I am loving this cookbook! Wholesome foods for the whole family. I love that this book has something for every member of the family. Sarah Wilson‘s cookbook is something that will be passed down to every generation. 

A favorite of mine would have to be the handwritten notes throughout and beautiful pictures of every recipe. 

If you are looking for real, wholesome, foods then this is your cookbook. A great resource for fermented foods and ways to include more probiotic food into your everyday life.

A cookbook that focuses on ingredients that improve cognitive function and so much more. That is exactly what this great cookbook does.

Filled with tasty recipes and stunning pictures, this cookbook is a must have. It pleases every skill level from novice to advanced. Rebecca Katz has certainly come out with another superb cookbook.

One recipe that I love is the Campfire Style Seasonal Fruit Fondue. It has a list of ingredients to use for each season to assure maximum ripeness and flavor. I also enjoy the Tonics and Elixirs. This cookbook literally has everything.

The Homemade Kitchen – A Review

The Homemade Kitchen by Alana Chernila is a wonderful addition to any home. From beginner’s tips to Easy Coq Au Vin with Buttermilk Spaetzle. This cookbook will bring joy to all.

This cookbook doesn’t just have recipes. It is also a great guide to slow down and enjoy life. I really love the beginner’s tips in the beginning of the book. Even if you have been cooking for a while, it is great to have a cookbook tell you how to cook an egg in different ways or how long to cook different vegetables.

Most of the recipes sound, and taste, great. However, I will admit that some of the recipes will probably never be made in this home. I also don’t really cook or bake with white sugar and some of the recipes contain a large amount. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this cookbook.

With the holidays coming up and being on a budget, things can get a little stressful. It is also the time that my daughter turns one year older. So I buy presents two months in a row.

I have been praying for some financial help for some time now. Today we were blessed with a check for a medical reimbursement. It may not be much, but it will definitely help Christmas a little more this year. It also wasn’t what I had in mind, but G-d will help in the way He sees fit.

Also, let us not forget the true meaning of the holidays. Holy day. Jesus’ birthday. There may be confusion on when He was actually born, but we celebrate on Christmas. Jesus is savior and mighty!

If you are having a hard time or stressing out, I pray that you hand all that over to G-d. He wants to see you succeed. He wants you to be blessed!

Trim Healthy Mama Plan – A Review

Are you tired of trying diet after diet and never seeing lasting results? Trim Healthy Mama Plan: The Easy-Does-It Approach to Vibrant Health & a Slim Waistline by Pearl Barrett and Serene Allison is a lifestyle that you can really sink your teeth into.

I first heard about Trim Healthy Mama while looking up ways to control my adult acne. I wanted to know more so I checked out the old book, that they self-published, from the library. It was massive and full of information, but I felt kind of lost. I understood it for the most part, but I wanted the guidelines in an easier to read format. The sisters took feedback from other ladies that were saying the same thing. They also separated the plan and cookbook so people weren’t lugging around a 600 page book.

Pearl Barrett and Serene Allison have tried every diet out there from Standard American Diet to Raw Veganisim. That is when they said they were done trying to diet and wanted to find a way to eat for a lifetime. Then they came up with this Biblical based way of eating. No need to eliminate food groups, unless there is a true allergy. You can still eat your pizza and brownies while losing weight!

After reading this plan book and the old book I agree that this book is much easier to read and understand. While the old book is more in-depth, this one highlights all the important things. Such as how to regulate your blood sugar, tips for ladies who lose weight slowly, a section for nursing and pregnant mama’s, and even a small section for Trim Healthy Men! I highly suggest the Plan Book and the companion Cookbook.

Working on my Trim Healthy Mama Review

I have been absent due to the fact that I have been busy reading my Trim Healthy Mama plan book and working out. On top of making sure the daily chores are done. And if you are already a Trim Healthy Mama then you know that you are in the kitchen a lot. Either doing dishes or cooking. Haha!

I had made it to 127.5lbs and 26.8% bodyfat. I have now gotten to the point where I am gaining weight(muscle) and losing body fat. It is so exciting to see my body change!
